As we had friends visiting this weekend, we decided to take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, and start building up ideas for our future guests. It’s only a short drive to the coast, so we headed down to Seaton for the day on Sunday. The pebble beach was fairly quiet, so we walked round to the headland, and then over the top to Beer (and yes, we did stop for the obligatory beer in Beer 😊). The views along the beach and up to the cliffs are impressive, and it was worth the climb to the top for the view back over to Seaton.
Renovation-wise, we’re finally starting to make baby steps. We’ve been considering our options for architects and planning consultants, and now have chosen the people we want to work with, based on their recommended approach and their initial interpretation of our vision. It’s been hard to choose between good quality options, but it’s a small and exciting step forwards! The sooner we can get planning permission in, the sooner we’ll know how much we can get done, and where we’ll face challenges. We’re so keen to get started now!

Good to read about your visit to Seaton – lovely pics
